Who Are You Trying to Fool?

The Nice Life Inspirational Quotation:  "Then I will tell them plainly, I never knew you.  Away from me you evildoers!"  Jesus in Matthew 7:23

When it comes to Biblical Scripture, this has always been a section that has caused me to scratch my head.  What is God (through Jesus) trying to explain here?  How could God (through Jesus) tell His followers, "... I never knew you.  Away from me you evildoers!"

Let's back up a bit, and put the message into the proper context.  Here's what was said:

Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?'  Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'

What is God (through Jesus) saying here?  If He were writing a letter, it'd probably look like this:

Dear Hypocrites,

You might be able to fool your family.  You might be able to manipulate your friends.  You might even be able to lie to your acquaintances!

But you can't fool Me.

And because of this, you're unable to experience the peace and joy that IS — relationship with Me.

Therefore, Thou shalt get on up out My face region.  Bye!

God.

Of course, this doesn't mean that all is lost.  It's not my belief that one is "kicked out of God's house forever."  The relationship with God is always available, by God.

However, if you've been on a certain deceptive path for quite some time, and you continue to demonstrate that THIS is the path you find most important, eventually you'll find yourself in a "pit" (Living Hell) that isn't easy to climb out of (because you've severed your connection to God, via your deceptive/evil/selfish behavior).

And until your intentions (and actions) are pure, the peace and joy that IS God — won't be a part of your experience.  However, once you choose to become a person of integrity, love, compassion, and forgiveness ... the peace and joy that IS God will begin to resurface, and God will once again "know you".  And once God "knows you" again, you'll begin to remember God.

That is, you'll begin to Re-Member (put back together) the part of you that has always been a "Member" of the body of God.

But your attempts to "fool God" with your manipulative/deceptive ways are futile.  It can't be done.  You're simply digging your "pit" (Living Hell) a little bit deeper.

In Luke 13:5, while discussing the "sins" of the Galileans, God (through Jesus) says, " ... unless you repent, you too will all perish."

In other words, whatever facade you're projecting to the world ... whatever "scheme" you're pulling off ... doesn't fool the mind of God.  And ultimately, it's this connection with God (which leads to peace and joy) that everyone is really searching for.  Until you become a person of integrity, you won't experience this peace and joy ... aka the "Kingdom of Heaven" (that lives within).

And the more you try to manipulate "the system" (the Consciousness of God), the further and further away you are from this Kingdom of peace and joy.  Each deceptive action is another shovel into the ground — of the Living Hell Pit — that you're choosing to create for yourself.

In other words, the Kingdom of Living Heaven is at hand.  You can begin to touch it ... right now ... if you choose.

In contrast, the Kingdom of Living Hell is also at hand.  You can begin to touch it ... right now ... if you choose.

Which Kingdom do you choose to experience?

    Very well said.

I've gained a tremendous amount of knowledge on this subject from you.

I noticed you have "The Alchemist" as one of your favorite books. It's a recent read for me and is now my second favorite book

Hey cool article, NiceLife I''ve been following you on twitter for a while and I like the stuff you bring up. I agree that there are a lot of hypocrites in the spiritual world. It's good to call them on their bullshit and remember that you're not going to get into heaven by fooling yourself. Was reading Tolle recently and man does that guy inspire. He says stuff a little to that effect: you're not going to get anywhere by accumulating ideas and vanity

    Love and light, man
