Let The Holy Spirit Be Your GPS
The Nice Life Inspirational Quotation: "But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you." Jesus in John 14:26
I remember my first powerful encounter with the Holy Spirit. It was at Cathedral of the Cross in Center Point, AL. Pastor Mark Correll was preaching — I was 23 years old.
It was my first time in church in probably a decade. And quite frankly, when you're forced to go sit in a church as a youngster, most of the time you're just impatiently hoping the pastor will hurry up, so you can get outside and play. The few church experiences I had as a kid were pretty pointless (in regards to having any significant affect on my life).
As a kid with the freedom to pretty much come and go as I pleased, I'm not sure if the Holy Spirit was the thing that guided me to tell my coaches, "Thanks for the ride," when they took me to and from my baseball games, or if it was just social conditioning that caused me to "be polite."
I really had no church experience, no spiritual experience, and really didn't know that much about the Christ Energy (as embodied by Jesus) when I was growing up. I just did my best to mimic what I saw other people doing, in regards to being "polite."
So whether or not I was influenced by the Holy Spirit (as a youngster) before getting "saved" that morning at Cathedral of the Cross, will forever remain a mystery.

But the guidance of the Holy Spirit goes much further than just instructing you to "be polite." It'll lead you to your highest destiny or "God's Will" (like an apple tree full of abundant fruit — as opposed to a tree with only a few rotten apples), if you consistently follow its guidance.
When presented with any decision, you always have two options from which to choose:
1.) The guidance of the Holy Spirit.
2.) The guidance of the ego.
The Holy Spirit is instruction from God (the part of you with your highest/best intentions in mind) that leads to a Living Heaven experience.
The ego is instruction from the absence of God (the part of you with your lowest/worst intentions in mind) that leads to a Living Hell experience.
John 10:34 says, "Jesus answered them, 'Is it not written in your Law, I have said you are gods?'"
Since we're made in the image and likeness of the creator — and essentially "are gods" with the same creative power to produce the results of our reality — we choose our actions based on the guidance of what we choose to follow. Will you choose to follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit (God)? Or will you choose to follow the guidance of the ego (God's absence — some call this energy Satan)?
Jesus was able to do everything He did, because He was consistently connected to the guidance (and power) of the Holy Spirit. John 14:12 says, "I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father."
Wouldn't it be nice to be consistently connected to the source that allows miracles to show up in your life? This connection to the Creative Source (God) is established through the Holy Spirit.
People who choose their decisions based on the ego, are what I like to call, "caught in the Matrix."

Turn on any reality TV show, and you'll see plenty of examples of humans who follow the instruction of the ego — they're caught in the Matrix. Their sense of self-worth comes from outside themselves. It comes from how they believe they're perceived by others.
Pay no attention to the facades they project, I assure you, they don't possess the peace of mind or joy that can be found through a consistent connection to the Holy Spirit. They're simply trying to fill a "soul void" through artificial means — aka "fame" and/or "fortune." They're not truly happy. Although some of these types don't even know they're not truly happy, because they don't know what happiness truly is!
All they'll do is continue to temporarily fill the soul void through artificial means — until they reach a breaking point — and have to make a decision. That's when the Holy Spirit quietly enters their awareness ... and they have a moment of clarity. The Holy Spirit gently whispers, "Move away from this action/way of being, and move towards this action/way of being."

One of my favorite Biblical Scriptures, John 16:13, describes it this way: "But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come."
The Holy Spirit always has your best interest at heart. Why not let the Holy Spirit be your GPS?
Life is a highway that's leading you to your ultimate destination. Which route you take is up to you.
If you allow the Holy Spirit to be your guidance system, your journey will be full of joy, peace of mind, and inner strength. Even if you temporarily get off course, just re-enter your desired destination into your GPS device, and the Holy Spirit is always there to re-direct your route, according to your current location.
It's never too late to turn around.
Are you asleep? Still caught in the Matrix? Wake up. As you awaken, help others awaken. Quit letting society determine your route and destination.
Would you allow another sleepwalker to guide you across the busy streets in your city? Of course not. It makes no sense to allow a sleepwalker to have control over your destiny (and your safety). You'll never get to where you want to go — and you'll likely experience anxiety, doubt and pain in your journey. Worst case scenario, you'll be blindsided by a Mack Truck — never experiencing the fullness of life that following the guidance of the Holy Spirit (life fully awake) can bring.
The Holy Spirit has just spoken the following into my awareness:
"This article will have a powerful affect in the lives of certain readers. As they read this, I (the Holy Spirit) will gently whisper into their hearts, guiding them into their own truth about what is working and not working in their lives. Then I will bring to their awareness the best new direction for them to follow. Then they'll have to make the choice to do so."

Loved the article about letting the Holy Spirit be your GPS. It is imperative that we get this word out to people. So many people are using the WRONG GPS and will get to their "destination" only to find that it's not what they thought. It's the difference between following the "Universe" and the "Holy Spirit." One is generic, one is top quality and backed up by God. Thanks for the insightful blog!
Be Blessed with Success!
