Will You Be Ready WTSHTF?

Hey gang.  How are you?

LOL.  If you don't know why the question "How are you?" is funny, then you haven't been keeping up with the blog as diligently as you should be.

Please accept this virtual *pop on the hand* for your unacceptable behavior.

For those of you who are diligent with your blog readership, I'd like to say thank you.  I'll bet many of you were wondering if I've heard anything from 103.7 The Q, in regards to the sweet love-letter I wrote them.

The answer is no.  But these things can take some time.

The remnants of Hurricane Ida swept through our area yesterday.  It rained all day.  I love writing when it rains.  I knocked out five chapters for my new book Your Truth Will Set You Free.  I've completed 50 of the 66 chapters.  It's gonna be a hot book.

Unfortunately, for all my colleagues at the radio station, Hurricane Ida wasn't too friendly.  One of my BOPs (Buddy Ol' Pals) who works in the building, posted the photo below on his Facebook page.

I thought to myself, What a strange coincidence!

Sunday, after church, I stopped by my local Barnes and Noble, to chill out and find a new book to read.  Neil Strauss wrote a book called The Game: Penetrating the Secret Society of Pickup Artists, which was really good.  I love the way that dude writes.  He's incredibly intelligent, suave, sarcastic, and funny.

Normally, I would say "just like me."  But I'm way too humble to do that now.

That's me reading the book this summer.  And yes, it looks just like a Bible.  Neil has a strange sense of humor.  :]

Anyhow, I decided to check out his new book, called Emergency: This Book Will Save Your Life.

Like me, Neil has left his pick-up artist days behind him.  In fact, he talks about his girlfriend, Katie, in his new book.

In this book, Neil describes his transformation from a Pretty-Boy Playboy, into a rugged Survivalist.  After the Hurricane Katrina catastrophe, Neil said he experienced a "wake-up call."  The government had a week to plan for Hurricane Katrina, and their response was still an absolute failure.

He started thinking about what would happen if an unforeseen catastrophe (like a terrorist attack) wiped out one of our major cities.  With the absolute failure in the Hurricane Katrina situation (that I believe was a God Wink), he realized he'd have to learn to fend for himself.

He signed up for countless "survival courses," and transformed into a self-sufficient human who can live off the land.  That's a huge difference from his days as a writer for the New York Times and his current position with Rolling Stone magazine.

I'm almost done with the book.  I'm on page 366 of 418.  It gets really good towards the end.  It really might save your life.  At the very least, it'll open your eyes to some serious possibilities.

Have you thought about how you'd take care of your family WTSHTF?  Or are you still Caught in the Matrix

You never know when you're going to go to your office building and see this:

In the meantime, my alien masters have instructed me to remain patient, knowing that my very important inspirational message will be projected, with or without a radio frequency.

Hopefully, my radio colleagues will be able to get back into their building soon.  I'll just sit here and wait patiently.

Until then, please enjoy some quality, life-enhancing information at www.TheTruthTheWayTheLife.com

Being a kid raised in the "country" it's amazing how many don't know how to fend for themselves if there was a catastrophe. I think it's important that everyone realize how in control they are when something "bad/inevitable" happens. Not that you need to endlessly think about it (or manifest it into happening) but knowing you have a plan takes a lot of the pressure off. Luckily, I live in a safe place, miles and miles from town, atop of beautiful mountain with lots and lots of wide open spaces. Country living isn't for everyone, but it sure makes you appreciate the simplicity of previous generations. We all have to take charge of our OWN destiny. Whether that means stocking up your pantry with canned goods and bottled water or just having an escape plan to a safe place, DO IT.

And honestly, concern over electricity? air? water? bathrooms? Really? While that sucks, it's not the end of the world. But if one is not careful, it could be the beginning of the end of said world. Be prepared. It's not that hard.

I'm ready. But S won't HTF ... me and @motomarie we got it all mapped out ... Cuz we're tough girls, with good heads on our shoulders. Our families taught us well, and to stick together. Make sure your "plan" includes others. It could be the deciding factor in your own survival. We humans have to stick together. =)

Well, you're obviously gonna need a big, strong man on your "country compound." I guess I better do some more push-ups. :]

      Thanks for your comment.

Wouldn't it be ironic if the "bums" and "street-people" (modern-day survivalists) were responsible for teaching survival skills to the same snobby rich folks who said, "Get a job you bum!"

After all, Matthew 5:5 tells us, "Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth."

      :]

HA! I think there is a huge difference in what people think is important. As for the "snobby rich folks"? They aren't the only ones so say, "Get a job!" I have to admit I say it too. But there has to be a balance. And for most of the homeless people in my town, there is nothing they are willing to DO about getting a job. Between mental illness and addictions to (well just about) everything under the sun, they force themselves into homelessness. And really, it's all their own doing. I don't care how it sounds, but I truly believe there are no accidents and the only person who can create your reality is you. Not saying that anyone wants (by INTENTIONAL choice) to be homeless, but their thoughts and actions create it.

Remember, Matthew 5:6 says, "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be fulfilled."

Maybe the "survivalist attitude" needs to be altered ... we can't survive without God. hmmmm ... I feel my OWN blog coming on ...

        Have a blessed day!

      Paulette,

Feather pillows stink. Have you ever owned any. Coincidentally, the relationship with that group of friends stinks as well. :]

    Hey Brandon,

I read "The Game" a while back and I definitely thought it was a cool read. I was into the seduction community once. It's funny how the whole thing about getting a girl is something that triggers men to evolve and to wake up from a life in the Matrix. The pickup guru David DeAngelo springs to mind too, and the internet writer Pook - they started out looking for pussy and ended up finding themselves. It happened to me as well, though I think I was already driven to spirituality etc and seduction was just one of the things I looked into.

Now I have an incredible girlfriend and I know I don't need to DO anything to be with her - just BE. Life is good
