A Month of Purity -- My Challenge to You
My most recent 30-day challenge was no alcohol for the month of May. I've done that one a couple times before, so it's not really that big of a deal anymore. I've taken off the month of June, because I believe that balance is essential for personal growth and overall happiness. One must take time to inhale ... while also making time to exhale.
I think my new pattern is going to be one month "on" challenge and one month "off" challenge.
With that being said, I'm ready to reveal my challenge for the month of July. It may sound simple, but for me I believe it's going to be my most challenging challenge to date.
You see, my entire life, I've always drank soda. Mountian Dew is my favorite. I don't guess I've been two whole days in my entire life without soda. I've heard countless stories regarding the dangers of drinking soda — how poisonous it is for your system — yet I continue drinking them.
I guess I'm a soda addict. I don't know if I'm addicted to the caffiene or if I'm addicted to the soda. Same thing with coffee. I usually drink a cup every morning.
So for the month of July, I'm going to drink only water and won't be consuming any meat. I will give myself the freedom to use milk in my cereal. (Obviously, I won't be drinking any alcohol.)
My goal is to get my body as pure as it's ever been in my entire life. I wanna take it back to 3,000 years ago, when human beings had water as their only option, and ate the things that the Earth naturally produced (fruits and vegetables).

The Old Testament in your local Bible says that men lived to be 900 years old. If this is accurate, I can only imagine that it was due to the purity of their diets and environment. Or it was advanced level Alien Technology that made it possible.
Over the past couple of weeks, I've been re-reading The Philosophies of Bruce Lee, and when it comes to harmonizing the mind, body, and spirit — I haven't encountered a human being who does it better. His life-philosophies are pretty much identical to my own. It's why I choose to embark on this next challenge, with the intention of purifying my body moreso than it has ever been.
Please understand, I hate drinking water. I love drinking Mountain Dew, grape Kool-Aid, Pepsi, and all that other junk. However, my mental strength will forever be more powerful than any physical cravings.
As I've shared my July challenge with friends, customers, and colleagues, a few have expressed an interest in joining me. However, I only feel confident that 5% of those people would actually have the discipline to follow through ... with no cheating.
I have zero doubt in my own ability to complete this challenge. It's because I've already completed equally difficult 30-day challenges, and because of those successes, I've increased my level of self-discipline and personal power.
This same opportunity is available to you — right now.
If you don't feel like a 30-day water only and no meat challenge is something you're interested in tackling, find something that does fit ... and join me for the month of July. You can always go back to your old lifestyle on August 1st.
Don't put cigarettes in your mouth — one day at a time — for the month of July. Don't put alcohol in your mouth — one day at a time — for the month of July.
Whatever you feel you need to improve on — make a commitment — and accomplish it. Your level of personal power will be your new "high." And then you can join me in September for our next challenge.
But let's face it: You probably don't have the level of self-discipline necessary to commit to — and stick with — whatever challenge is currently floating around in that head of yours.
In fact, you'll end up breaking your commitment on July 4th — at whatever cookout you'll be attending — just four days into it.
It's okay. I'll be the champion you need in your life. Feel free to live vicariously through me. =)
