Has Young Jeezy Lost His (Peace of) Mind?
And let's face it: "sober" is a relatively easy word to spell. I mean, it's certainly not as challenging as properly spelling the word "necessarily" or "foreign." I used to have beef with the word "necessarily." But I quietly learned my opponent's ways, and now I have complete power over the word "necessarily."
"Necessarily" is my bitch now. =)

Young Jeezy is living the life that most humans lust after. He has the money, the fame, the women, the cars, the clothes, the jewelry, etc. If you ask 100 young men if they'd like to be like Young Jeezy when they grow up, I'll bet 90 of them would say "yes."
That's right folks, Young Jeezy is living the "good life."
It seems that way on the surface. But one portion of the song struck me as odd — it was almost like a Freudian slip (where a person unconsciously or accidentally reveals their true feelings).
Here's what it says:
You know we drink that Rosay (liquor) until we black out
Wake up, drink some more and pass back out.
Really, Young Jeezy? So you have all the money, fame, power, women, and supposed "success" that most humans lust after, yet your goal each day is to drink yourself unconscious? The highlight of your day is blacking-out?
But Jeezy, if you're "blacked-out," how will you enjoy your "success"? How will you slay your women? How will you flash your jewelry? When you're blacked-out, you're essentially cut-off from the world.
Maybe Young Jeezy has unknowingly provided us with some valuable information. Maybe the things of this world that most humans lust after (fame, money, power, material goods) don't create happiness. From the sound of Jeezy's lyrics, they certainly don't bring peace-of-mind.
If they did, he wouldn't feel led to drink himself unconscious every day. In fact, those things likely add to the level of stress and lack of peace he experiences.
